Tips for green cleaning
If you want to keep chemicals out of your home and your local waterways, you might want to try mixing a few of these eco-friendly products for cleaning your home.
- Baking soda: non-abrasive and safe for stainless, keep a container by the sink for scrubbing pots and pans. Clean rinsing, baking soda will make your drains smell clean too.
- Salt + Baking soda: to absorb grease on dishes, add a little salt first.
- Lemon: acetic and clear, a little lemon juice on a cloth is great for spot cleaning windows and glass.
- Simple glass cleaner: one cup of water, one cup of rubbing alcohol, 1 tablespoon of vinegar. Mix in a spray bottle for easy application.
